Recess Los Angeles Vintage Consignment Meet Romy Reiner Escada Wedding Blazer Spotlight

Summer is here and we celebrated its arrival with the effortlessly cool multi-hyphenate Romy Reiner for our black-and-white themed lookbook photoshoot. Romy was born with creativity in her blood and easily moves from the front of the lens to the back, freely shifting between visuals and the written word with a sense of worldly sophistication well beyond her years. We're looking forward to seeing all of the great things Romy will go on to create- from screenwriting and painting to photography, we know she has so much in store for us all. Here are six questions with Romy:

 

What do you do?
I’m a writer, photographer, artist, actor and model.

Who or what inspires you?
Nature inspires me. I love being in nature, but if a bee comes near me, I need to leave.

How would you describe your personal style?
I mainly wear white and black basics. I tend to mainly shop vintage and sustainable brands. I usually will go for comfort over style, but the great part is trying to mix the two.

What is one of your all-time favorite vintage finds?
I found an incredible dress from the 30’s that’s very beautiful. But I can’t wear it to the gas station. Or could I?
(we think you definitely could)

Who are some of your favorite designers and why?
My mom has given me an Armani jacket/blazer that I think is very timeless. I wouldn’t say I focus too much on designers or one specific brand.

What is an inspiring instagram account to follow?
I love following @neyon_tree, @thegreatunlearn, @bailproject, and @mennlay among so many more.
