KING OF COSTUME JEWELRY

“Fabulous fakes,” they shine and mesmerize, often tricking the eye, but one thing is certain, many women worldwide forgo their real gems for them.  

The iconic costume jewelry designer Kenneth Jay Lane earned the moniker “Faberge of Fakes” but there is nothing fake about his wonderful craftsmanship.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and a former Vogue and Christian Dior staff member, his part-time pursuit in jewelry design led to a life-changing career that revolutionized jewelry design, making, and marketing as a whole. He made opulence attainable for all, with pop culture icons like Jackie Onassis Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn all choosing to wear “Kennys.”

Mr. Kenny died in 2017, but his innovative brand lives on because it’s like the man himself said, “Elegance, luxury and good taste never go out of style.”
