ALAÏA 1989 F/W STRUCTURAL KNIT DRESS

 

 

 

Beloved by models, movie stars, customers and colleagues, Azzedine Alaïa was no small man. The native Tunisian became a monolith of fashion through his reverence and mastery of the female form. Standing at just over five feet tall Alaïa often sewed directly onto his models to create his signature second-skin tailoring, pushing the boundaries of body and shape.
