DRESS CODE: JUNE BLOOMS

by Erica Sanae

Here in LA we are in the midst of the May-Gray, June-Gloom season. While the rest of the world is beginning to get excited for the beautiful weather starting to warm up, we're stuck with endless dreary gray days. Here are our fave five blooms to get rid of the gloom.

Recess Dress Code June Blooms Fanee Silk Floral Skirt

This floral print silk skirt by Fanée is like a breath of fresh air. The passionate, sweeping brushstrokes of this expressionist-style print on lightweight silk inspires us to have a picnic in the French countryside, complete with rosé, baguettes, and brie. We love the casual feel of this pleated midi skirt, but love the versatility it holds being crafted in China silk. You get the charcuterie, we'll bring the wine. Done.

Recess Dress Code June Blooms Escada Silk Tahiti Souvenir Shirt

This Tahiti print souvenir shirt in thick silk satin by Escada transports us to the islands, and we can smell the gardenia wafting through the air. We love the versatility of this shirt version of a souvenir jacket, and would live out our daydream  on the beach. We'd wear it with denim cutoffs, over a bikini, or tied at the waist. Smell those gardenia!

Recess Dress Code June Blooms Its In The Bag Shell Basket Bag

Surprise! We love the fun print in this quirky straw box bag by Ritter- for a line called "It's In The Bag"! Organic neutrals with shells and straw in sophisticated champagne open up to a bright floral pop lining. We love LOVE that this cheeky print it keeps those gloomy thoughts at bay every time we open it up.

Recess Dress Code June Blooms Sarff Zumpano Flowerpot Set

Did we tell you we love sets? This matching appliqué set by Sarff Zumpano makes us smile, with its allover polka dots and fun sunflower appliqué. Pink dots and flowerpots tickle our fancy. We'd be sure to wear this outfit as a complete set, with a statement belt and cute basket bag- you'll be sure that no one else will have stolen your look.
